Love Of Israel

Songs inspired by the land, the people, the history, and the unbreakable spirit of Israel.

My Connection To Israel

The simplest way I can describe my connection to Israel is that it feels written into my DNA. Although I have never lived there and have only visited once, Israel felt like home long before I ever arrived.

Perhaps that is why my reactions were so visceral.

  • The first time I set eyes on the Kotel, I felt as though the wind had been knocked out of me (in the best possible way). It literally stopped me in my tracks. I was overwhelmed by its beauty and a feeling I still struggle to put into words.

Standing atop Masada, I found myself thinking about the generations of my people who came before me and the sacrifices they made to remain true to our faith. The resilience, courage, and endurance of the Jewish people no longer felt like history. It was real.

I found myself smiling at things that might seem unusual to other people. Seeing young IDF soldiers with their rifles slung casually over their shoulders felt completely natural to me. They were a welcome reminder that Israel is being protected twenty-four hours a day by young men and women who are proud to defend their country.

Everywhere I looked, I saw the same story: a people who endured, remembered, rebuilt, and survived. A people who continue to bring light into the world while remaining fiercely committed to protecting the only homeland they have ever known.

Those moments did not create my connection to Israel, they confirmed what my heart always knew.

These songs are my way of sharing my love for the land, the people, the history, and the unbreakable spirit of Israel.
